Hello again. I've spent the last couple of days hiding from the heat, remembering what I was doing at this time last year, getting upset, and sleeping. I think I've caught up in the sleep department, but I'm not placing bets just yet. I've learned this much: anniversary reactions suck. The Fourth of July dropped me into a pit of depression. I'm still trying to climb out. In the meanwhile, the US team for the 2003 World Gymnastics Championships has been selected, and it's full of athletes I love (including 24-year-old Annia Hatch). Michael Savage has been fired; anyone want to start a betting pool on how soon Fox picks him up? Military morale is at rock-bottom in Iraq. Quelle surprise. With soldiers getting killed nearly every day and a president daring people to attack them from the safety of the White House, who can blame them? What a mess. And someone re-engineered athletic tape to make the adhesive virtually impossible to remove, or so it seems. I wear tape almost every day. What can I use to get the adhesive off? Anyone? (Underwrap defeats the purpose.) Groceries tonight. (And there was much rejoicing.)
